Maggie and cooper's golden scholarship fund

"We lost our sweet Maggie in January 2024 at nearly 13 years old.  As a way to keep her memory alive and to help future pups, we established Maggie and Cooper’s Golden Scholarship Fund.  Seeing the amazing transformation Cooper had after working with Lindsay, we feel so passionate about her training and hope these funds can help to support others who will benefit from her services."

Maggie Mae was adopted by our family as a 5-month old golden/spaniel mix in 2011. A sweet but shy girl, she eventually grew into the neighborhood greeter and wanted to be friends with everyone who crossed her path.

When Maggie turned 7,  we felt that adding a “sibling” for her would be a good idea.  11-month old Cooper Rex, a miniature golden retriever, joined us in late 2018. We had no idea that Cooper  struggled with severe anxiety and fear, to the point that he ran away the first night!  Miraculously he found his way back but managing him in the house was nearly impossible.  He was unable to be collared and leashed and kept a distance from everyone except Maggie.  A few trainers came to the home over the course of a few months to try to help, but only threw treats to him from a distance.

Thankfully we came across Lindsay’s website and contacted her immediately.   Cooper went through a 3-week board and train program and it completely changed his life and ours. We brought home a dog who, with Lindsay’s expert guidance, had become more self assured and disciplined.  Cooper still has anxiety when new people are around but he is so well behaved and listens when we give commands.  Seeing his growth over the years and interactions with our family and Maggie has been one of our greatest joys.
